I’m talking about modern day Turkish Christians, those under the Ecumenical Patriarchate (a Turkish citizen himself) who live under the current oppression of the Turkish government. Nevermind the Christians were there first, they’re still denied their seminary, much of their public practices, and have to abide by oppressive laws meant to keep them in their place.
Of course there are Turkish Christians–my ancestors are from a village in southern Turkey!
Not to mention the Hagia Sophia was a church LONG before it was a mosque
